Asosiasi konsumer Belanda nyatakan perang dengan Vista


Konsumer di Belanda melakukan protes untuk OS Vista, setelah perusahaan Microsoft menolak memberikan copy gratis Windows XP. Masalahnya sederhana, laporan protestan pemakai Vista mencapai 5000 keluhan.
Perangkat printer dan hardware lain kebanyakan gagal bekerja. Sistem computer terlalu sering crash dan perangkat menjadi sangat lambat.

Para pemprotes diwakili oleh asosiasinya telah berdiskusi dengan Microsoft atas masalah pemakai Vista. Tetapi tawaran berpindah ke XP bukan solusi, kata Microsoft. Karena perangkat tambahan dikembangkan harus khusus untuk Vista.

Tetapi asosiasi konsumer menekankan hal lain, bahwa Microsoft baru menawarkan XP ke pelanggan bisnis ketika mereka menghadapi masalah. Dari forum, user Vista memang mempermasalahkan perangkat lama atau sistem lama yang mereka jalankan.

Open source adalah sebuah situasi dimana pemakai atau developer diperbolehkan untuk belajar, memodifikasi, mendistribusikan, atau menggunakan kode-kode dari sebuah program. Tujuan dari open source ini sendiri adalah untuk membebaskan bug-bug dari sebuah software dan mengimprovisasi program sesuai dengan minat dan kegunaan bagi para pemakai yang sebenar-benarnya.

Setelah menimbang lisensi raksasa Microsoft dengan sepuluh kriteria yang disyaratkan Open Source Definition, OSI meresmikan Microsoft Public License (Ms-PL) dan Microsoft Reciprocal License (Ms-RL).

Presiden utama bagian open source dari Red Hat yang juga presiden dari OSI, Michael Tiemann Menulis di blognya, "Apakah ini permulaan dari sebuah akhir? Atau akhir dari sebuah permulaan? Mata dari dunia teknologi akan mengamati OSI dan Microsoft untuk melihat kelanjutannya. Tentu beberapa merasa cemas izin ini bisa berdampak buruk bagi open source dan kami mungkin akan belajar menetapkan kriteria kesebelas atau mengubah kesepuluh kriteria yang ada untuk menegaskan apa yang kami sebut sebagai open source."

Untuk sebagian besar pribadi dan perusahaan yang bekecimpung di dunia IT, pengumuman ini sama seperti langit runtuh dan dunia akan kiamat. Sedangkan sebagian lainnnya mengamati hal ini sebagai usaha Microsoft untuk mendiskusikan kebijakan-kebijakan OSI dan kemauan Microsoft untuk fleksibel.

Cara Printer Laser Mencetak

Bagaimana sorotan sinar laser dapat berubah jadi huruf-huruf atau gambar di atas kertas?

Pertanyaan itu muncul jika kita menerjemahkan kata printer laser secara harfiah seperti printer tinta. Sebenarnya, prinsip kerja printer laser adalah listrik statis, yakni energi yang sama yang membuat pakaian-pakaian di dalam mesin pengering menempel satu dengan lainnya atau kilat yang menjalar dari awan ke tanah. Listrik statis: Merupakan muatan listrik yang terdapat dalam sebuah obyek yang terbungkus, misalnya balon atau tubuh kita. Karena atom-atom yang muatannya berbeda tarik-menarik, obyek-obyek yang memiliki medan listrik statis yang berbeda akan saling melekat. Laser printer: Fenomena inilah yang digunakan printer laser, yang dikenal dengan istilah perekat temporer. Komponen inti dalam sistem ini adalah fotoreseptor. Fotoreseptor: Umumnya berbentuk drum atau silinder yang berputar. Terbuat dari bahan yang mampu menghantarkan sinar degan tinggi (photoconductive). 1. Kawat corona: Beraliran listrik yang membuat drum bermuatan positif. Sebagian printer memakai penggulung yang diberi muatan, tapi prinsip kerjanya sama dengan kawat corona. 2. Unit laser: Menyorotkan sinar pada permukaan drum yang berputar. Dengan cara ini, laser menggambar huruf atau citra yang akan dicetak sebagai sebuah pola muatan listrik--sebuah citra listrik statis. Printer juga dapat bekerja dengan muatan sebaliknya, yakni citra listrik statis positif pada latar belakang negatif. 3. Toner atau tinta berwujud serbuk: Ditaburkan pada drum. Karena toner bermuatan positif, akan menempel pada area bermuatan negatif pada drum, tapi tidak membuat latar belakang secara negatif. Ini seperti menulis pada permukaan kaleng soda dengan lem lalu menggelindingkannya di atas permukaan tepung, jadi tepung hanya melekat pada arena kaleng yang diberi lem saja. 4. Baki kertas: Memasukkan selembar kertas sehingga digiling oleh drum. Sebelumnya, kertas diberi muatan negatif oleh kawat corona. Muatan itu lebih besar dari muatan negatif citra listrik statis sehingga kertas dapat menekan serbuk toner. Karena berputar dengan kecepatan yang sama dengan perputaran drum, kertas menyalin citra yang ada di drum. 5. Pemanasan (fuser): Kertas yang telah menyalin citra itu dilewatkan pada fuser, yakni sepasang penggulung yang dipanaskan. Saat melewati fuser, serbuk toner meleleh dan menempel kuat pada serat kertas. Kemudian dikeluarkan ke baku output. 5. Pembersihan: Setelah citra listrik statis pada drum dipindahkan ke kert as, drum melewati lampu pembebasan (discharge lamp). Sorotan lampu yang terang mengenai seluruh permukaan fotoreseptor dan menghapus citra listrik statisnya. Lalu, drum melewati kawat corona yang memberinya muatan positif kembali. 7. Proses berulang dari awal kembali.

Convert PDF documents to SVG for Inkscape (pdf2svg)

I searched and searched the web for a project that could convert PDF documents into an editable format for some free software on Linux. I use Ubuntu daily at my workplace and only use a single Windows application for accounting software via RDP / VMPlayer. I needed a way to be able to modify PDF documents and I have Inkscape with all the features I need, except a functioning PDF import filter. Inkscape uses pstoedit which doesn't extract embedded raster images and convert them for the SVG format. There is a plugin for pstoedit to convert to SVG for $50, but it caused a segfault on my machine. So no joy with a single tool to automagically convert my documents.

I spent a loooong time trying different formats from pstoedit and converting through various other software to end up with an SVG file that I can use in Inkscape with included raster images. The following is the process I used to create the best results. The steps I have used are for creating one page at a time. Some more automation could be added to make most of this work without all these steps, as well as to do each page in the PDF document automatically.

Step 1
Create a working directory for this project. You will likely be creating hundreds of files during this process and it can get messy if it's mixed in with other documents.

Step 2
Make a Level 1 Postscript file from a page in the PDF document. When extracting pages from a PDF document, pstoedit's intermediate file formats have no support for Level 2 Postscript raster images. We'll create a Level 1 Postscript file from a PDF page that pstoedit will handle correctly.

Step 3
Convert the page to the fig format. The pstoedit tool does this job decently, and creates tons of files in the process. This process creates a .fig document with all of the images in separate EPS files. The .fig document simply references the image files to be included. At this point you could use xfig to make modifications, but it would be horribly slow and difficult to work with. This process will also rasterize all text, but I'll show in a later step how to get vectors back in your document.

Step 4
Convert from the fig format to the SVG format. When this is done, the SVG document contains only some formatting and placement information, while referencing all of the external EPS files.

Step 5
Convert EPS images to PNG images for use with Inkscape. Inkscape can't import those raster EPS files, only vector EPS files (it uses pstoedit to do the conversions, so it is limited by that tool). The EPS images must be converted to an image format that Inkscape can use. I chose PNG because the format is free, standardized, and lossless. Unfortunately, there is a problem that prevents a direct conversion. When pstoedit created the EPS files with embedded raster images, the EPS file may specify an incorrect image size/formatting. This shows up as white lines that surround the raster images, and the white lines are inconsistent between the images. What must be done is to extract the raster image data from the EPS file, not using the EPS specified sizing and formatting. The way to do this is rather ugly, but it works. First, the EPS files will be converted to PDF files. Second, the tool pdfimages will extract the raster images from the PDF files. Third, the Imagemagick tool convert will conver the images to PNG files.

Step 6
Change all the references in the SVG file from .eps to .eps.png. Open your favorite text editor (or get creative with sed) and change all .eps to .eps.png.

Step 8
Extract vector information from the PDF document. If the PDF document contains text or vector information, it will have been converted to raster images as described earlier. The pstoedit tool can do this job as well.

Step 9
Place the SVG text in the SVG document with the images.

a) Open both SVG documents with Inkscape.
b) Switch to the document that has the text only.
c) Select all the items then group them together as a single object.
d) Copy that object and paste it into the SVG document with the graphics.
e) Send the SVG text below the rasterized text in the document.
f) Delete all of the rasterized text to show only the SVG text below it.

Notes
It is my understanding that converting to fig documents may screw with your units due to a not high enough resolution. I have not confirmed this. You may want to scale the document up by a large factor (10x), do the conversion to the xfig format, then use xfig to scale back down before exporting.

Known Problems
Some raster images may not be clipped properly. This must be fixed manually. This is only a formatting issue and does not affect the quality of the images. Text may be converted to paths and may not be editable.

Warning
This could possibly take a LOT of disk space. Make sure to have at least several hundred megabytes free. It could also take a lot of memory and time for Inkscape to open the document for the first time until all the rasterized text is removed. Please be patient.

Siapa Yang Membuat Inkscape?

Inkscape berasal program Gill (GNOME Illustrator) yang dibuat oleh by Raph Levian pada tahun 1999. RRaph merupakan salah satu developer Ghostscript. Pada tahun 2003 proyek Inkscape dimulai oleh 4 developer Sodipodi (www.sodipodi.com) yaitu: Bryce Harrington, MenTaLguY, Nathan Hurst, dan Ted Gould dengan menggunakan bahasa C++. Tujuan mereka adalah membuat program yang mendukung format SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) dan bersifat terbuka (open) dan berbasiskan pada dukungan komunitas. Dalam beberapa bulan proyek ini berhasil mengeluarkan beberapa release.

Gambar Bitmap vs Vector

Gambar grafis di dalam dunia komputer dibagi atas 2 jenis: Bitmap dan Vector. Gambar Bitmap (atau Raster) merupakan gambar yang tergantung pada resolusi tertentu dan menyimpan gambar sebagai kumpulan dari piksel. Sehingga jika gambar Bitmap diperbesar akan menjadi pecah atau tidak halus lagi. Sedangkan gambar Vector tidak tergantung resolusi dan tidak pecah jika diperbesar.

Kedua jenis gambar ini dulunya berdiri sendiri sehingga programnya juga terpisah. Untuk gambar Vector memakai Corel Draw sedangkan gambar Bitmap memakai Photoshop. Jenis gambar Bitmap umumnya dipakai untuk menyimpan photo sedangkan Bitmap umumnya dipakai untuk pembuatan Logo.


Tetapi dalam perkembangannya kedua jenis gambar ini dipakai untuk saling mendukung sehingga tercipta karya seni yang bagus. Misalnya saja dalam pembuatan kartu undangan maka tata letak dan tulisannya menggunakan Vector sedangkan Photo diimport dari gambar Bitmap. Sebagaimana CorelDraw dan Ilusstrator mampu mengimport gambar Bitmap maka Inkscape-pun juga demikian.

Di dalam Inkscape gambar Bitmap dan Vector ini dapat dipakai kedua-duanya. Ada juga fasilitas untuk mengkonversi gambar Bitmap menjadi Vector. Proses konversi ini disebut dengan istilah: Tracing.

Format file SVG saat ini merupakan format yang paling popular. Mengapa demikian? SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) merupakan suatu format gambar Vector yang berbasis Open XML untuk membentuk gambar 2 dimensi termasuk animasinya dalam format XML (eXtensible Markup Language).

File yang disimpan dalam format SVG ini sangat kecil ukurannya. Dan sudah didukung oleh hampir semua program gambar karena format gambar ini juga didukung oleh browser Firefox dan Opera.

Perhatikan bahwa gambar di atas mendukung adanya Transparansi pada saat obyek gambar saling tumpang tindih. Dari website Mozilla dijelaskan bahwa ruang lingkup SVG hampir sama dengan Macromedia Flash. Tetapi SVG mendukung beberapa tambahan penting, antara lain:

* anti-aliased rendering,
* pattern dan gradient fills,
* sophisticated filter-effects,
* clipping to arbitrary paths,
* text dan animations.

Yang membedakan antara SVG dan Flash adalah bahwa SVG merupakan rekomendasi dari W3C dan berbasis XML. Sedangkan flash merupakan format yang tertutup.

Friendster...ohhhh...friendster....hmmmm....siapa sich yang enggak mau gabung ma friendster, enggak dari yang muda sampe' yang tua pada friendsterholic semua. memang yang namanya friendster ini merupakan salah satu website yang menampung begitu banyak orang yang tentunya ingin "bersahabat". melalui website ini nih kt bs kenalan dengan berbagai orang baik itu dari dalem negri ataupun luar negri hihihihihi.....wow website yang sangat menguntungkan.

di Friendster ini kita bisa membuat profile kt sendiri lho, sesuai dengan keinginan kita. kita dapat belajar mendesain profile friendster kita sendiri, mengupload foto, lagu favorite kita, video (music, film etc),slide show foto, membuat blog dalam friendster pokoknya fun deh kalo joinan ma friendster.

tapi begitu banyak orang yg udah joinan friendster, belum tentu bs mengedit friendster mrka n menggunakan seluruh fitur-fitur yg ada dlm friendster tersebut.
yach...nganggur donk. buat friendster mania be creative okay.

1. Punya email donk, km bs daftar ke yahoo.com, telkom, plasa, gmail, pokoke banyak dech.

2.setelah punya email, buka website : friendster;ketik www.friendster.com lewat browser internet explorer, mozilla ato opera.setelah itu daftar ato sign up (bhs inggrisnya) oya usahakan semua di isi ya jgn sampe ketinggalan, karena kalo krg satu pertanyaan yg belum dijawab, km harus mengulangi dari pertama lg loh..capek deh..

3. setelah sukses mendaftar jangan lupa di buka dulu email km, biar km bs mengedit profile km n nggak email verification. buka dulu yahh..surat dari friendster...okay from your email !!!! awas kalo enngak d buka !! hehehe...

4.pertama tama pasti km pasti d tawari tuk upload foto km dech, so alias jadi km hrs meng upload dulu donk, caranya ya tinggal browse foto ato gambar yg km inginkan dari komputer km trus tekan tombol upload dech,beres sudah. Jadi kalo km mau ndaftar FS itu km harus nyiapin minimal foto oke.

5. setelah upload foto km berhasil barulah km bs mengedit profile tuk FS km. untuk mengedit background friendster, km dapat mencarinya d friendster-layouts.

Buka website : ketik www.friendster-layouts.com, terus km pasti akan di berikan begitu banyak pilihan untuk background kamu. Di friendster-layouts kt bisa melihat profile dari banyak kategori. Untuk mengganti profile km buka dulu edit profile trus pilih customize page,lalu barulah km bs mem paste kode profile yg telah dipilih dari friendster layouts yg telah km copy dulu tentunya donk.

Setelah selesai meng copy-paste jangan lupa di save okay. Setelah berhasil lihat profile km, kl blm berubah coba refresh FS km atau reload.tuk keluar dari website ini jangan lupa di log out dulu yach, itu tuh klik aja tulisan yang berada di sebelah kanan atas Log Out. Kadang banyak orang lupa untuk meng log out FS mereka. Trus FS mereka di edit deh ma orang-orang yang enggak bertanggung jawab. Mudah kan tuk joinan friendster, selamat mencoba !.

Virus boleh membiak dan mewarisi sifat generasi sebelumnya, tetapi bergantung kepada inangnya, dan boleh dikendalikan seperti molekul biasa (contohnya boleh dihablurkan). Sama ada virus hidup atau tidak, mereka merupakan parasit obligat dan tidak mempunyai kemampuan untuk membiak sendiri. Seperti kebanyakan parasit, mereka memerlukan perumah yang tertentu, misalnya sesetengah virus hanya boleh membiak dalam spesis tertentu tetapi sesetengah yang lain boleh membiak dalam pelbagai jenis spesis.

Beri nama hasil create tsb dg nama Plural dan isilah nilainya dengan 1 (Decimal).
setelah selesai semua restart kompie..lalu klik bbrp kali ikon YM...dan hasilnya..lgsg terlihat....

Untuk kembali normal (nggak bisa multi login) isi nilai decimal dengan angka 0 atau hapus Plural.
